Two leading members of the Maryland House of Delegates’ subcommittee on public health pushed back against new cuts to behavioral health care services in Maryland last month, after the Board of Public Works nearly gutted a long overdue increase in funding. Del. Joseline Peña-Melnyk (D-21) and former Del. James W. Hubbard (D-23A) are the current and outgoing chairs of the public health subcommittee.
